Kayelle Allen
 Kayelle Allen spent her childhood in motion -- her parents didn't settle down until she was entering middle school, so much of her education in history was gained visiting the sites where the action happened. She heard about the Alamo while standing in front of it, visited battlefields in the south as her parents shared their knowledge of the Civil War, and had the pleasure of walking along part of the same trail taken by Lewis and Clark. You would think that depth and appreciation for history would direct her to writing historical romance. But alas, another love her parents shared with Kayelle was Science Fiction. She designed and maintains www.kayelleallen.com a sprawling site which features a tour of the Tarthian Empire, the setting for her Sci-fi Romance books. Readers can visit the different planets, read a bit of (what
else?) each world's history, and download original wallpaper
art. Perhaps her site's most unusual attribute is Imperinet,
which is a mock up of the Imperial Internet from her books.
Readers can visit the same websites as her characters, click
on links to companies mentioned in the books to learn more
about them, and even jump from Tarthian Empire companies to
their real world counterparts. Kayelle is married to her own personal hero whom she met
while on active duty in the Navy. They both joined the Navy
to "see the world" as the recruiting posters promised. Did
they? "Yes," she says, with an edge of humor, "We traveled
Italy from Bari to Rome, to Naples, Aviano, and Milan. But
don't let that recruiting slogan fool you. The Navy's world
is mostly made of water." They currently reside in Georgia. |
