Contemporary mystery with dark fantasy elements, the first book of the Changeling Detective Agency series introduces a dark and dangerous race living hidden lives among us. Fans of the Anita Blake vampire slayer novels might find that Gwen is their kind of girl.

Summary

When an undercover operation goes terribly wrong, police detective Gwen "Gi Gi" Gelman ends up in disgrace and out of a job. She sets up shop as a PI specializing in family problems, determined to leave her troubled past behind. But a search for a missing teenager turns personal when Gwen's investigation becomes entangled with her own history. Gwen, orphaned as a baby and raised in the system, is about to learn a whole new definition of "family problems."
