Summary

It was a plain gold band, unadorned with even an inscription. It wasn't even an expensive ring, for it came from the jewelry counter of a pawn shop. For nearly eleven years, Samantha Whitman wore her ring, refusing to let her husband, Daniel, replace it. But it doesn't really matter now anyway. Sam's marriage is history and she's selling the ring back to the pawn shop. Facing life alone at almost 31 years of age is going to be tough, but Sam realizes she has to leave the past behind. She just isn't sure how.
