REVIEW

"An enjoyable romantic fantasy"

Nic Stone, a member of the Fae race, returns to the mortal realm after twenty-five years spent in the faery realm painting a portrait of Titania, the selfish and cruel faery queen. Titania had promised to grant Nic's human wife, Anna, immortality in return for the portrait. However, she forgot to mention to Nic that Anna must die and be reincarnated and her reincarnated self will be immortal. Nic saw his wife die twenty-five years ago, and he must find her again. Nic learns that should he declare his love to someone other than a reincarnated Anna, he will be Titania's for all eternity. Nic thinks Anna has been reincarnated as the famous singer, Dianna Fielding, because she looks almost exactly like Anna. Nic gets a job as the gardener at Dianna's estate and hopes to make her fall in love with him. He is surprised when he feels only a mild interest in Dianna, but a great attraction to her sister, Stacy. He blames Titania for putting a spell on him, and Titania is definitely causing mischief. Will Nic find his true love and convince her to love him in return?

CUPID'S MELODY is an enjoyable romantic fantasy with great characters. Nic, who prefers the human realm to the faery, has very human qualities and sensibilities. Even though it takes him a while to look deeper than outward appearances, he does come around and is willing to risk all for love. Stacy, who has lived in her sister's shadow, isn't surprised to find the man of her dreams is in "love" with her sister. She tries to aid him in his quest to find his true love, even though it is breaking her heart. Titania is a villain that you will love to hate. She is down-right vicious! The one small quibble that I had was I don't think Titania received her just desserts. Other than that, I found CUPID'S MELODY entertaining and I recommend it.

Nic's search to find his reincarnated wife leads him to sisters, Dianna and Stacy. All he has to do is convince Diana, the spitting image of his long-lost Anna, to love him again. Easy for a sexy faery. Except that Stacy is the one he keeps kissing.

Summary

Faery Nic Stone had no idea he was about to make the mistake of his eternal life when he asked the Queen of the Fae to grant immortality to his beautiful bride, Anna. To become immortal, he discovered only too late, Anna first had to die and then be reborn...

It has taken twenty-five years for Nic to re-enter the mortal world to search for his lost love, but he is convinced that he has finally found her. After all, Dianna Fielding is the spitting image of his wife. Masquerading as her gardener, he vows to seduce her heart all over again. But why is it her sister, Stacy, who makes him ache with that all-too-familiar longing? Either someone has cast a spell on him, or Nic is falling in love with the wrong woman. If he follows the stirrings of his heart, will he find true love--or will his beloved be lost to him forever?
