REVIEW

"Incredible emotional experience with mermen and a spunky heroine."

This story starts off with a bang and doesn't let up! Alexis Stanhope's new husband has just confessed to killing her father, right before he pushes her off the boat and into the ocean. She plunges deep into the water but is saved from drowning by a man -- only he's not a man as she first supposed, but Adonis, a shape shifting merman. Compelled to save her, he takes her deep into the ocean to Atalantium, breaking the first law and incurring the justice of the Guardian of Atalantium, Thor.

Alexis and Thor immediately grate on one anothers nerves when Alexis refuses to bow down to the Guardian's commands to come before the counsel. She is full of spunk, scared, and not about to let anyone take her ANYWHERE, least of all while she's in her birthday suit. Alexis cannot be allowed to leave with the knowledge of Atlantis, nor will she allow them to erase her memories. Alexis wants only to get out so she can bring her father's murderer to justice.

Alexis has a slew of troubles with this new land, not the least of which are never having privacy to think, everyone running around practically naked, a jealous rival, and rebels intent on claiming Alexis' unique abilities for their own.

There are some surprises here that I can't mention but gave me goosebumps when I read them. I immensely enjoyed BRIDE OF ATLANTIS. The sex is HOT! And I chewed off my nails racing to get to the end to find out if Thor and Alexis were really going to be together. Thor is the hero most women dream of: sensitive, powerful, strong, with a wicked sense of humor. Alexis is full of spunk, hilarious, and grows as a person, learning from her mistakes throughout the course of the book. An incredibly emotional experience on all levels, BRIDE OF ATLANTIS is not to be missed if you enjoy books that tug at your heart, tickle your funny bone, and make you sigh at the happy ending. The world Ms. Morin has created is fascinating, and I hope to see more from this talented author. Soon please!
