REVIEW

"an interesting twist on King Arthur's story"

Sofie Adams, a forensic archaeologist, has come back to England to get married but really wishes to break up with her fiance. While helping her fiance with his dig, Sofie finds a whistle and blows it. After this, Sofie's fiance starts acting very strangely, and Sofie feels no reluctance in breaking up with him. When Sofie blew the whistle, she unknowingly released the evil Modred, who took possession of her fiance.

Evan Howell, a CIA agent, has come to England in search of Sofie to find answers about his sister's death. Sofie, who works for the FBI, was assigned to Evan's sister's case. Sofie tries to help Evan find answers and finds solace in his arms. Unfortunately, Evan and Sofie are in great danger from more than one enemy.

THE SUMMONING: CHEMISTRY OF EVIL is an intriguing, paranormal romance, that puts an interesting twist on King Arthur's story. I was caught up in Sofie and Evan's story from the beginning and I enjoyed the chemistry between them. Be warned-- the sex scenes are spicy and erotic, so handle with care. I found Ms. Connolly's use of the King Arthur legend intriguing and wish I knew more than just the basic legend. This book inspires me to research and learn the legend in greater detail.

An urban gothic romance...

But when Sofie releases the evil of Mordred, son of Arthur, from his long imprisonment, only Evan can help her destroy him.

Before Mordred destroys them both.

Passion and danger combine in an explosive mix, taking Sofie to depths she can't imagine, heights she never knew existed.
